The KTU EDU_Lab Centre of Excellence in Learning and Teaching presents a coherent and comprehensive two-year “Training Programme for the Beginner Teacher” and the methodological tool “Guide for a Beginner Teacher”.

Becoming a good teacher requires a lot of practice, self-confidence, the ability to present high-quality and reliable material to students, public speaking skills, and the desire to improve. Lecture-based training is not sufficient to equip students with the abilities and skills they need in their professional lives. The training programme is intended for all teachers starting their career at KTU who want to acquire knowledge in the didactic competence development system, prepare well for the teaching/learning process, choose and apply appropriate didactic methods that would focus on the active involvement of students and provide skills for lifelong learning.

The methodological tool “Guide for a Beginner Teacher” is a publication that briefly presents the most important stages of academic activities of the beginner teacher of Kaunas University of Technology (University) teacher to ensure the quality of studies. This tool is intended for teachers (academic staff) who have chosen the path of the teacher (academic employee) at the University.
