The EDU_Lab team aims to help teachers to clearly identify the didactic competencies needed for successful lecturing and invites teachers to observe the lectures of their colleagues and invite the EDU_Lab experts to observe the lectures of their colleagues.
The EDU_Lab invites teachers to communicate and collaborate, focusing on sharing best practices and creating new knowledge during the teachers cafés.
The Edu_Lab invites all teachers to consult on various didactic issues. Consultations take place at a time agreed with the EDU_Lab expert. You can register for the consultation by emailing edu.lab@ktu.lt
Invite a mentor of the EDU_Lab to your lecture and get constructive feedback. Teachers are already using this opportunity. A few testimonials:
Teacher Jurgita: “The mentor’s participation in the lecture was very useful because the mentor provided particularly valuable insight into the aspects of the work that I perform well and the ones that could be improved. It is very useful to get a review of your teaching practice by an unrelated person, who sees it with fresh eyes and provides reasonable constructive feedback.”
You can invite a mentor to your lecture by sending an email to edu.lab@ktu.lt
Self-assessment is a particularly important stage in every activity. It is a key step towards the improvement of the quality of your activities. The teacher’s perspective is also important in the assessment of the teacher’s activities, i.e., the teacher’s self-evaluation ipsative assessment and self-assessment. It is an assessment, characterised by the person’s measurement of his/her performance using the pre-defined and accepted criteria.

Teachers Cafe is a traditional KTU event where KTU teachers meet once per month to discuss the issues relevant to the academic community. It creates an informal and safe environment for communication and discussions on various issues, facilitates making new connections, and finding like-minded people. Every KTU teacher is welcome in the Teachers Café, because individual experiences are different and therefore very valuable. If you would like to share your experience (scientific or didactic), please contact the team of the EDU_Lab Centre of Excellence in Learning and Teaching today at edu.lab@ktu.lt.
The Teachers Cafe takes place once a month. More detailed information is sent to KTU teachers by email.
